Account & Data Deletion
How to delete your The Gathered account and data.
You can ask to delete your The Gathered account and personal data at any time. This page explains how, and what is deleted or kept.
Option 1 — In the app
Open The Gathered and go to More → Settings → Delete account, then confirm. Your sign-in account is deactivated immediately and your personal profile data is scheduled for deletion.
If you don’t yet see this option in your installed version, please use Option 2 below — it has the same effect.
Option 2 — By request
Email privacy@adaptedinnomark.com from the email address on your account, or ask your parish office to remove you. Include your name and parish so we can locate your record. We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account and login credentials.
- Your member profile: name, contact details, date of birth, address, photo, and other directory information.
- Your device push-notification tokens and app preferences.
- Personal community content you created (e.g., your prayer requests), unless it must be retained as below.
What may be retained (and why)
- Financial records. Records of donations and offerings may be kept by your parish for the period required by tax, accounting, and audit laws. Where retained, they are minimised and no longer linked to a live app account.
- Legal / safety. Limited information may be kept where necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse.
- Backups. Residual copies in secure backups are overwritten on our normal backup cycle.
Note on your parish. Your church is the controller of its membership records. Deleting your app account removes your access and personal app data; your parish may keep a minimal membership/pastoral record in accordance with its own retention practices and this Privacy Policy. Contact your parish office for church-specific records.
